Ruth Meschery-McCormack (she/her) is a student at Columbia University studying Human Rights and Hispanic Cultures, where she continues to work with new voices in the New York communities to uplift education for students and adults alike and study language as medium of communication and art in social justice. She loves sharing music, hosting potlucks with friends, and drawing little pieces of art for loved ones.

As a program assistant at ARTE, Ruth works to process and synthesize the incredible opportunities that ARTE shares with their community and format them into curriculum and visuals that can be shared beyond the classroom.

Her favorite pieces of artwork are “Farmergarden with Sunflower” by Gustav Klimt (1907) and “Quipu Womb” by Cecilia Vicuña (2017).
